6/7/8: Amanda and Brandon

without comments

My good friends Amanda and Brandon were married in Decatur County Tennessee on June 7, 2008 (6/7/8). I’ve known Amanda for years, but had yet to see her family’s farm. When I pulled up into the driveway, I was blown away! Gorgeous white house, rustic outbuildings, a vegetable garden, and bushes of flowers were the setting for a very beautiful wedding. One of the best parts about shooting Amanda and Brandon’s wedding is that Brandon is a professional photographer. That he entrusted his wedding photography with me was a huge deal, and I am so glad the pictures turned out the way they have. Congratulations you two!

Wild Things: Trisha and Wes

without comments

Trisha and Wes’s wedding was rockin! They are one of the funnest couples I’ve photographed, and their style is unbeatable. With the colorful palette, non-traditional and touching ceremony, and big party reception, these two lovebirds really know how to have a good time.

Better Than Cheesecake

with one comment

I’m going to post a few catch-up blogs, to show what I’ve been working on. I recently did a pin-up shoot with Nicole, aka Jezebel James. She was a pleasure to work with, as was our make-up artist Andrea Durbin. We were lucky to have access to Bad Apple Studios; a big thank-you to them for letting us shoot there.

Welcome!

without comments

Welcome! La Photographie Nashville is expanding and I wanted a way for you to see my new work, so I have created this photography blog.

A bit of background: my name is Stephanie Saujon Baltz. I am a photographer in Nashville, TN, specializing in portraits and weddings. I use both natural lighting and flash photography. For me, photography is both creative and personally pleasing. I enjoy working with people, and I love to show my clients photographs of themselves that make them happy.

I started off in photography doing creative portraiture, and its influence over me has kept its hold. Putting a photo shoot together, and working with other professionals to bring a scene together and create an image, is so exciting for me. Thankfully I’ve been blessed to work with some very talented artists whose work has enhanced my photographs. Another of my specialties is maternity portraiture. A woman at the height of her femininity is special and sacred; capturing this glowing beauty with photography is very rewarding for both me and the mothers.

I am finding, as I make my way through my first full-on nuptial season, that I love photographing weddings. There is nothing like being present and intimately close with people as they are getting ready to say their vows and celebrate with their loved ones. It is an honor to be present when the vows are pledged, so I treat every wedding with the reverence it deserves. When people entrust with me their wedding photography, I consider it the highest compliment and I do everything I can to make their day go as smoothly as possible, while capturing every lovely moment.

I am truly blessed to be a professional photographer. I have worked hard, and I am going to keep working hard for a very long time. My grandfather used to always tell me, “Kid, you gotta keep your eyes on the prize.” I feek like I have finally captured my prize, and the photography I post in this blog will be a continuation of my achievement. Thank you so much for taking time to read my blog. I hope you enjoy what you see. :)
