Warming Up
I will be photographing Lauren and Shane’s wedding in little over a month. I’m glad we got the chance to work together before their wedding because getting to know them was so much fun! My brother Bernie and I met with Lauren and Shane and their dog Oscar at Centennial Park on Easter Sunday for an engagement session. It was a bright day, necessitating a lot of flash, but the shots turned out great. With all the bright colors, it was tough to pick one to be in black and white. Look for wedding pics soon!

Baby Rowan
Rowan and his parents make such an adorable family. At 6 months, Rowan has a lovely temperament and such a cute face! I was delighted to capture these moments for them. I look forward to hopefully photographing him again.

Midnight Frolic Showcase
I am so excited to announce my first showcase. My 1920’s project, based on photographs of the Ziegfeld Follies, will premiere at Venus and Mars: The Showroom on Friday May 8, 2009. The project is called Midnight Frolic and it features dancers from Music City Burlesque. The ladies will be making an appearance at the event, which starts at 7pm. See you there!

Spring Break or Bust!
I had the pleasure of photographing Music City Burlesque at their Spring Break or Bust show at the Belcourt last Friday. I was front and center, which is where I like it! The show was hosted by Miss Lolly Pop with sounds from the Lavamen. Thanks ladies for being such great subjects.

Pop Art 2009
I’ve worked with Frankie Apple of Music City Burlesque several times. She is a superb performer, and when I learned that her next number would be based on Edie Sedgwick and Andy Warhol, I insisted that we photograph her transformation. She performed the number Friday night at the Belcourt, and the crowd was wowed! Here are our best shots.

Pinned Up!
Katie participated in a recent Pinned Up! and her photographs are stunning! Eryk Datura did her flawless makeup, and Shana Taylor of No Limits Salon did her hair. Katie was a natural model, so easy to photograph. I look forward to working with her again soon!
