La Photographie Nashville

I had so much fun photographing Danny and Jacqui’s wedding on May 9th. Held in their beautiful Nolensville home, the wedding was intimate and full of personality. Jacqui’s purple dress was beautiful on her, and everyone from her lovely daughters to the family dog was involved in the festivities. I am so pleased at the number of great images from this wedding, so this post will be a bit longer than usual. Congratulations!

I just don’t tire of photographing babies and children! Carter just turned a year old and is already crawling at a fast pace. I met Carter and his parents in Murfreesboro for this photoshoot, and we had a great time getting just the right shots.

Photographing newborn babies has become very dear to me. The tiny hands and feet, the little smiles and yawns, are perfect for depicting in photographs. After working with Lauren on her maternity pictures, I was very excited to photograph her and Brad’s newborn girl, Stella, who was born on April 16, 2009. As Lauren and I have become friends over the past 9 months, I was honored to capture these tiny moments for them. I look forward to watching her grow up!

As a photographer, sometimes I get the best opportunities. Max and Michelle’s wedding was one of those occasions: a chance to photograph a non-traditional wedding with tons of personality and lots of spontaneity. Max and Michelle were supposed to get married on the Pedestrian Bridge downtown, but as those of you in Nashville know, Friday May 1st was a very wet day. I met Michelle at Union Station Hotel to photograph her getting ready; their wedding ended up taking place at a friend’s home in East Nashville, which made for a very intimate ceremony and reception. Max, Michelle, and I will be reuniting for a special post-wedding portrait session on the Pedestrian Bridge… as soon as the weather is promising!

Sometimes I am lucky enough to make true friends with people who hire me for photography. Andy and Marie certainly fall into that category. We instantly hit it off, and I had a great time photographing their wedding on April 25 at Cannonsburg in Murfreesboro. Here are the highlights.
