Angel & Cole: Day After

with one comment

I first met Angel when she hired me to do her pre-wedding Pinned Up glamour portraits, and we became fast friends. Her wedding, which was this past June, went beautifully, but Angel didn’t feel that she looked her best in the photographs, so she decided to do another portrait session with her husband and mom. We picked the perfect fall day to go out to the Bicentennial Mall in Nashville to take their photographs. With hair by the amazing Shana at No Limits Salon and makeup by the flawless Eryk Datura, we produced the glam wedding session!

Amy is probably one of the most beautiful women I know, so I was honored when she asked me to do her maternity portraits. She had some great ideas for inspiration and we managed to get some amazing shots. I look forward to photographing her little girl sometime next spring.

Twins!

without comments

About 6 months ago, a gift certificate was purchased from La Photographie for twin baby girls. I was so excited when Norah and Abby’s mom called me to schedule their session, which took place in October. Not only are these two little girls adorable and sweet, but they are redheads! I had a great time photographing them in their family home and here are some of the best shots.

Spooky Cute: Susie & Jamey

without comments

One of my goals for 2009 was to photograph a Halloween wedding. Since Halloween was on a Saturday this year, I got my chance. Jamey and Susie were married on October 31 at The Rawlings in Joelton, TN. The bride wore a dress from Glitz Bridal in Bellevue, and the flowers and adorable decorations were by Loretta at Exceptional Weddings and Events. Jo from Jo’s Custom Cakes made the very cool wedding cake, which was made to look like a cemetery at night. Guests were encouraged to wear costumes, and they looked amazing! The “Wizard of Oz” group won the costume contest, and from the photo below, it’s easy to see why. With the romantic backdrop of The Rawlings in fall, Jamey and Susie pulled off their Halloween wedding with flair. Congratulations!

Blast from the Past: April & Will

without comments

April and Will were married on October 17, 2009 at Brentwood United Methodist Church; the reception was held at the Embassy Suites in Franklin, TN. This wedding was very special to me, as I have known April since we were toddlers. We grew up together, and went to high school together as well. Although we lost touch for several years, I was so pleased to speak with April about her wedding photography. I couldn’t be happier with these photographs, and it makes me feel great to know that I was there to photograph such a special day in her and Will’s lives. Congratulations!

True Blue: Cheryl & Chad

with one comment

Cheryl & Chad were married on October 10, 2009 at Brookmeade Congregational Church in Nashville, TN. Cheryl and Chad are both photographers, so I was doubly honored when they asked me to shoot their wedding. With a distinct non-traditional style and a focus on fun foodstuff, this wedding and reception was a blast to photograph. Congratulations!

Rowan

Lucky me! This was the second time I had the pleasure of photographing Rowan. I met his parents at Vanderbilt campus and we had a blast getting all of these cute shots. I think Rowan is getting used to posing for the camera; our fourth photo session together is this Sunday and I am sure he will do great!

Peek & Boo!

with one comment

I am so pleased with the turnout and results from my first open house, Peek & Boo. La Photographie offered free children’s portraits to kids in costume last Friday, October 30, and here are some of the best shots. Thank you to everyone who brought their little ones, and a special thank you to Leela and Julia for helping put it all together. Stay tuned for another post later this week!
