This wedding was simply lovely! Lesleigh and Mike were married on a beautiful October day at Benton Chapel, and their reception was held at the Legends Club in Franklin. I met Lesleigh and her bridesmaids at Lucy Pop Salon while they were getting ready. All the bridesmaids had pink streaks put in their hair to match the bride’s. Thankfully my rainbow-colored hair fit right in! The style of this wedding was flawless, down to the pink wedding dress, pastel flowers, gray bridesmaids dresses, and the 4 tiny pink wedding cakes! I had a blast photographing this wedding, and Lesleigh and Mike’s sweet love really shines in these photos. Enjoy!

I’m very excited to show these photos off! I’ve photographed Dana several times, including her glamour session, so when she asked me to take her & Matt’s engagement portraits I jumped at the chance! We met at Cedarwood Mansion in Nashville on a gorgeous fall day, and captured these lovely shots. Dana & Matt are obviously love birds, and I look forward to photographing their wedding next year!

With all these wedding and engagement posts, I feel the need to spice it up a bit on the blog today! Feast your eyes on burlesque dancer Ula Uberbusen, formerly of Salome Cabaret in Knoxville, and currently a resident of Brooklyn, NY. While we all miss her down here in the South, we’re all delighted that she is enjoying the Big Apple and making the most of being involved in their burlesque scene. Ula came to the studio and had her hair done by Shana Michelle Taylor, and impressively did her own makeup for the shoot. We had a lot of fun playing dress up with her stage costumes and in the studio’s wardrobe closet. With some Hollywood-style shots, a few pin ups, and lots of sexy boudoir photos, Ula’s session is one-of-a-kind!

Warren and Amy were married at The Rawlings on a sunny October day. With their son Sawyer, and their many friends and family there to witness, Amy and Warren exchanged their vows. David & Wendi were married in Nolensville, Tennessee at the Party Barn on October 1. This fantastic wedding had lots of unique touches, including a bicycle theme, handmade crafts, and brightly-colored shoes. These photos are a little late in being posted, but when I photographed Amy & Warren’s wedding last weekend, I knew I had to post this blog asap! I met Amy & Warren at Percy Warner park this summer and took some lovely photographs of the two of them. I especially love Amy’s matching pumps and dress, as seen in the last image. This post is going to be epic! All of the style, DIY work, details, entertainment, and LOVE at this wedding really make the photos pop. Cat & Jim were married at the Loveless Cafe on September 25 and had a carnival theme decorating the reception. Wedding planners at DandyLion Events provided event coordination, while many of the little details were created by Cat herself. Performers included fire eater Freya West and bellydancers from Bodhicitta. Apart from the style, the obvious love between Cat & Jim really made this wedding enjoyable. If happiness is catching, everyone at this wedding got the love bug!

In honor of David & Wendi’s wedding tomorrow, I am posting their fantastic engagement session! This was such a fun idea: since they are such foodies, we decided that a picnic themed photo shoot would be ideal. We started at their garden at Mitchell’s Deli in East Nashville, where David & Wendi picked vegetables. Then we moved to their home, where they prepared the food and got the picnic ready. With their adorably drooling dogs looking on, Wendi & David enjoyed a lovely homemade meal in their back yard. Look for their wedding photos on the blog soon!

Tabitha & Roy | Smyrna Wedding Photography

I was absolutely delighted to photograph Tabitha & Roy’s wedding in my hometown, Smyrna. These two lovebirds, along with their family (sons Rayden and Barron were so adorable!), celebrated with an emotional ceremony and a fabulous reception. I loved the red, brown, and white color scheme, as well as the thought that went into the reception decor. The dance floor was hopping all night, and the guests had a great time at the photo booth. Congrats Tabitha & Roy!
