Chris and Katrina’s Rock n’ Roll Wedding

October is such a lovely month for weddings here in Nashville and the weather gods made no exception for Chris and Katrina, who got hitched two weeks ago on a sublimely gorgeous day! Between the classic cars and hot rods greeting you at the entrance to The Cannery Ballroom, the rockin’ bands playing the reception, these two put on a one-of-a-kind party surrounded by the love of their friends and family.

Here’s a little preview to whet your appetite and stay tuned for the full blog post!

Yellowstone Adventure: Sam & Nicole | Wyoming Wedding Photography

My very good friends Sam and Nicole were married 2 weeks ago at Sheepeater Cliffs in Yellowstone National Park, and it was one of the most beautiful experiences I’ve ever had. My husband and I were among the small ceremony guest list of only 8 people, and I was asked to capture it all with my camera. It’s always special to photograph friends’ weddings; providing the timeless images that are treasured by many for years to come can be very personal. This was magnified by the journey to Wyoming and Montana, the endless snow, and the amazing views of Yellowstone. To get to the wedding site, we took a small hike, and Nicole’s lady friends held up a sheet so she could change into her wedding dress in the wild. Sam wore his suit under a warm coat, and put on his fedora just before the ceremony, which was administered by their good friend Mason. We then gathered at Old Faithful Inn to celebrate with dinner and drinks. It was an unforgettable weekend, and I am proud to show off Sam and Nicole’s unconventional and personalized wedding.

Get Happy: Bridget & James

Bridget and James were married on Saturday October 3 in downtown Louisville. With a rooftop ceremony at Glassworks, the glass-making factory in Louisville, and a reception inside, these two couldn’t go wrong with location! The sky was perfectly cloudy with no rain, making the splashes of yellow really stand out. Bridget wore a tea-length polka-dotted dress, while her bridesmaids wore un-matching yellow dresses with black accessories. Instead of wedding cake, they had cheesecake! Bridget and James pulled off a perfect non-traditional wedding, and I’m so glad I was part of their day. Congratulations!

All Smiles: Danny & Jacqui

I had so much fun photographing Danny and Jacqui’s wedding on May 9th. Held in their beautiful Nolensville home, the wedding was intimate and full of personality. Jacqui’s purple dress was beautiful on her, and everyone from her lovely daughters to the family dog was involved in the festivities. I am so pleased at the number of great images from this wedding, so this post will be a bit longer than usual. Congratulations!

Honky Tonkin’: Max & Michelle

As a photographer, sometimes I get the best opportunities. Max and Michelle’s wedding was one of those occasions: a chance to photograph a non-traditional wedding with tons of personality and lots of spontaneity. Max and Michelle were supposed to get married on the Pedestrian Bridge downtown, but as those of you in Nashville know, Friday May 1st was a very wet day. I met Michelle at Union Station Hotel to photograph her getting ready; their wedding ended up taking place at a friend’s home in East Nashville, which made for a very intimate ceremony and reception. Max, Michelle, and I will be reuniting for a special post-wedding portrait session on the Pedestrian Bridge… as soon as the weather is promising!
